Perseverance have announced an otherwise unavailable new Craig Safan CD will be thrown in with orders of $40 or more (before shipping). I love Safan, but there has been an awful lot of duplication lately, and I have all the Persey releases I'm after already. I definitely WOULD spend the money anyway if the Safan CD was something I didn't have. I'd give em $100 for it if it was his 1980's Twilight Zone scores which has been my Most Wanted release for over a quarter of a century now.

Anyone know what it is? Cheers.

Well, I would have no problem, but I am simply not allowed to order what I'd want. frown

Could this perhaps be the un-named score by him they said was coming back in May or last year (or this year), but never materialized? Maybe it got cancelled and they're throwing it in. Just wild speculation.

Unavailable, or previously unreleased? Sounds like Fade To Black.

Based on what they posted, it would have to be a brand new, exclusive release. I can only think they produced the disc but didn't have the proper rights so are just 'giving it away', getting more business for their trouble.

Which isn't to say it'll be a score that's not had some kind of release already, the reason I'm hesitating till I know what it is.

I've loaded in, but I'm in the UK so could be a while before I find out what the CD is.

Ended up having to get CDs I already own, just in different editions. Oh well.

"...This album will NOT BE SOLD anywhere..."

This is a big problem because Perseverance, just like Buysoundtrax, never answered to my e-mails. How can I be so idiot to place an order through them?

A little digging around online has shown Perseverance list four Safan CDs on a news release. Other than the three we know about (Circus, Remo, Fade To Black) the fourth has been given the intriguing title of 'Lesser Known Favourites'.

From the title, I'm guessing it's some sort of compilation album.

As I understand it if you spend $40 before shipping on their online store the CD will be included with all orders. I have a copy sitting right here and it has a track that after listening to it I was instantly brought back to my childhood to one of my favorite TV shows ever. Such a wonderful end credits piece. There are several tracks on this and it's a solid listen. I don't think much or any or all of these tracks have been released anywhere.

Peter, I can only guess you are referring to this:

And it is a lovely piece. So lovely I placed an order with Perseverance to secure a copy. smile I'm enthusiastic to see what other gems are on the disc.

Maybe smile, he he he!!!! Such a darn good show and the end credits is just gorgeous. I've been fortunate to hang out with Craig a couple of times and he truly is one of the coolest and nicest guys out there!

It has arrived! Five days and a few hours from ordering to receipt in London!! Well done Perseverance.

22 tracks, including three or four each from six lesser known Safan film projects.

5 appear to be previously released, but all very hard to find, including three tracks from Lady Beware (these and two more are on the OOP OST), the theme to Bittersweet Waltz (from Safan's OOP Film Music Promo), and a song from The Last Starfighter (which I think was on the long OOP Southern Cross release).

I'll give it all a proper listen tonight.

Of those tracks wouldn't be "Confrontation" - the lone track Safan wrote for Michael Mann's Thief?
