This is a criminally underrated film. A true gem of the thriller genre and in my top three of McLean's based film stories. This film never slows down and is a visual treat. The theme is a very clear emulation if not imitation of James Bond:

However somehow it is not until recently that I recognised the similarities between the underwater scene and the wonderful soundtrack of "Captain Nemo and the underwater city", and guess what I checked and yes: Angela Morley!

Go to t= 3:19 and convince yourself, right down to the echoy drums

Who is going to grab this soundtrack from the jaws of obscurity, and bring it to the public it so very much deserves?

Disco Stu.

agree with the sentiment stu, as many on here do, but we must have had a dozen when eight bells toll threads mate.

Yep - and now a baker's dozen. Expecting MusicMad to chime in on this - it's what he does best.

actually its probably three threads. Typical of the Carson family though - wont to exaggerrate for effect.

Either way, wonderful score, decent film, needs a CD desperate, like, you know, man.

I purposely didn't ... in view of Bill's comment! Even though "... in the words of a .... friend of mine, it's what I do well" smile
