According to my newspaper, 61 people spent three nights at the Tan Hill Inn in the Yorkshire Dales, 270 miles north of London. It is Britain's highest altitude pub. The pub was cut off by a blizzard, but was used to this happening, so it could handle stranded guests.

If one must be stranded, kind of sounds like a fun place.

Windy and 50 degrees in my town.

Now, not surprisingly, it's dark. Quite mild. Maybe I won't retire my leopard print thong, yet.

Given the behavior I've seen in pubs on the telly-box, I'd say none of them were put out by having to spend that much time around that much liquor. smile

I just saw Noah sail past.

Now that is funny. Very cute.

What I really want to know is when did Queen Elizabeth make you a "prince." Congratulations!

It was hush, hush because of various lockdown rules etc. It was for services to humour and such. And coz she's knockin' on a bit she did it sitting down. Also she used an extra long sword, which did nothing for my self confidence. And I was wearing deodorant!

Temps keeping steady in Oslo at -5 to -10. No chance of the snow melting. frown I would kill for plus degrees and rain, like you Brits (except for Christmas Eve, then it's nice with moody snow).

True, but I seem to remember San Fran being pretty chilly when I was there in early autumn(?) 2012.

It's turning out to be one of those days. The wind is trying to muster a bit of a gust but can't be arsed.
