This does not belong on this side of the forum...it belongs in the Non-Film Score Discussion.

Now, if Howard Shore -- our Howard shore, that is -- saw this, what would he think of the headline being posted on the forum?

My guess is he wouldn't be too pleased.

(Though I could of course be wrong.)

Cheers

I'm not sure it qualifies as "abuse"... people have posted way more off-topic items on this board (repeatedly, in some cases), and people haven't gotten that worked up about it. I think that the "Jerry Goldsmith At Outback Steakhouse" thread is way more irritating than this story, which will probably work its way down into the archives quickly and not resurface like that one has!

I said it before (with the case of some other John Powell) and I'll say it again: that shit's not funny.

Howard might be a serious guy — but he's not that serious. He may even get a chuckle out of that, considering THIS Howard Shore is a city councilor not far from THAT Howard Shore's birthplace.

Maybe he is a serious guy, maybe not. But since you don't know, and since you don't know him, it seems a little presumptuous. Anyway, whether it would bother Shore or not is not the point. I would think it would be common sense not to post a thread like this.

I recall hearing about this. Shame we can't get Rob Ford sent up for a psych assessment along with him.

Such a stupid silly trite thread, that is not only in bad taste but more so just plain childish, there must be loads of people named Howard Shore and some i am sure have done worst then that crime,, i am chuckling when i think about how members on this board has attack me on certain things, well let me tell you folks, mine are basic truths honest observations, from James Horner to Whitney Houston to Walt Disney and others, not second grade mentality playing around with people's names, say anything you want to say but make SENSE

Sorry, Ryan. Way too many reports on this thread from all directions, and clearly the collective voice of the forum is upset by this thread. For the good of the whole, let's call 'er quits.
