A lot of excellent production talent worked on this show throughout it's run:
Jay Presson Allen
and the late James Broderick (Matthew's father) played the dad so well.
I actually liked all the actors on the show and thought they were all very natural,
accept Sada Thompson,
who in my opinion, kind of over-acted her part. She seemed to push it just a little too much. It just didn't seem as natural as the others to me when I watched it in my late teens. I'd love to see it again and maybe my opinion might change a tad.
