For the first time ever John Scott's jungle adventure GREYSTOKE, TARZAN, LORD OF THE APES comes to life on CD (previous releases were all unauthorized). This special release was made possible by using the Original 1/4" Album Master found in the Warner Bros Records Vaults. Sadly, no other elements were located to give this wonderful score the Expanded Treatment it deserves. However, we were able to pull the OVERTURE and END CREDITS off the original magnetic track and present it here as Bonus Material. Artwork, tracks titles and sound clips will be posted next week upon its release.

Release date: September 21, 2010 at 1 PM PST

Greystoke, Tarzan, Lord of the Apes
LLLCD 1144
Limited Edition of 3,000 units
Music by John Scott
Reissue Album Produced by MV Gerhard
Mastered by James Nelson
Liner Notes by Jeff Bond
Art Direction by David Fein

Retail Price: $19.98

Please note, starting with this release La La Land New Releases will go on sale at 1 PM PST, instead of our usual Noon PST time. That will be the case with all our future releases.

There will be no autographed copies of this release.

We had hoped to have Alien Resurrection in by next Tuesday, but its still at the pressing plant.

See you back here next Tuesday!

Wow, never would have guessed only 1 title will be coming out next week!

Does this mean October 5th will bring us Alien Resurrection, Clue, Jade, and Human Target?

Then The Storyteller, Batman Returns, and Mirrors 2 on October 19th?

Definitely Alien plus one or two more

Clue will be Nov

Jade and Human Target late Oct

Storyteller most likely 1st quarter 2011 due to a few other projects that HAD to come out before the end of the year due to licensing

Kudos, LLL - this score has deserved an official CD release for a long time.

Heh... when I was a kid I thought this trailer was incredibly exciting because of the Holst music. But everyone is just standing around doing nothing!

Nov 2: Possibly Clue, possibly X-Files boxset, possibly additional titles as well

Nov 30: Their 3 "big" limited edition releases

2011 Q1: Jim Henson's Storyteller
2011 Q?: two rejected scores

Lets see:

Sept 21 - Greystoke

Oct 5 Alien Res, Mirrors 2 (our website), and 1 Limited of 1200

Oct 19 - Human Target and, we hope, Batman Returns and Jade

Nov 2 - 2 Limiteds

Nov 16 - 2 Limiteds

Nov 30 - the final 3 (which may include X Files. Although, right now we are doing major reconstruction on the box set so I don't know if it will be done in time so something else might fill its place)

2011

to be determined

Why so secretive about 2012? Some of us like to plan ahead!

Hey Matt,

Just curious, did you try to contact John Scott about additional music? I know he had tapes of music that wasn't used in the final print.

James

Can't wait. I think this is the last John Scott score I've wanted but never had the opportunity to own. Thanks so much LLL!

So...

Sep 21: 1 title (Greystoke)
Oct 05: 3 titles (Alien Resurrection, Mirrors 2, 1 unknown title @ 1200 units)
Oct 19: 3 titles (Batman Returns, Human Target, Jade)
Nov 02: 2 titles (Clue and an unknown, or 2 unknowns)
Nov 19: 2 titles (Clue and an unknown, or 2 unknowns)
Nov 30: 3 or 4 titles (3 big LEs + X-Files, or just the 3 big LEs)

I agree I'd rather wait for a superior X-Files product then rush out a inferior one. That's exciting about the package redesign. I betcha it'll be marvelous!
