Hey, not everybody can be handsome like me! In all fairness, such a picture can surely be found for just about anyone competing in sports at a high level. Andy Murray has cleaned up his act to a large extent of late, and has been showing a lot more maturity on and off the court. Still a young guy. I used to despise his spoiled baby rants but have slowly grown to appreciate him a bit. Credit where it's due, I always say...

Boring characters in men's tennis these days ! Longing back for the days with the likes of McEnroe, Connors, Gerulaitis, Nastase !

I suppose we could support some easy-going loser (ie most British tennis players), or some unsavoury, spoilt, petulant millionnaires (most of the England football team... I don't know if Murray will win Wimbledon this year (or indeed ever) but the fact is, I want him to. There's alot of anti-Murray feeling in England because of some banter that he became involved in when he was a teenager and which he's recanted since. He's a great British tennis player with more chance of winning a men's major title than any other one in my lifetime. Any English sports fan who harbours a grudge against him for his alleged anti-English comments needs to grow up - and are far more prejudiced than you think he is. And the other thing is: why do I only give a monkey's about tennis during Wimbledon fortnight?! For the other 50 weeks of the year I couldn't be less interested... Perhaps it's a sign of Attention Deficit Disorder, or some psychsocial dysfunction with a multisyllabic name. I am a pro tennis freak, at least where the Majors are concerned. Andy Murray did lose today, but he played a damned fine match, and would have beaten just about anyone besides Nadal with the quality of tennis he exhibited. I think he does have a good shot at winning one of the biggies, so keep watching Wimbledon and you may see it. On the other hand, it may be the Australian, the French or the U. S. Open he wins, and you will have missed it because of your lack of interest. Don't worry, I'll keep you posted.
