I would suggest:

" Minnesota Clay " by Piero Piccioni.

" Cowards, Don't Pray " by Gianni Marchetti.

" Four Pistols for Trinity " by Roberto Pregadio.

Other suggestions ?

Almost anything by Bruno Nicolai. My favorites being ADIOS SABATA, RUN MAN RUN, LAND RAIDERS, APOCOLYPSE JOE, THEY CALL HIM HOLY GHOST plus many others.

I also have a great fondness for Carlo Savina's JOHNNY ORO(aka RINGO AND HIS GOLDEN PISTOL). I wish someone would put this one out.

I've gotta mention THE STRANGER RETURNS (UN UOMO, UN CAVALLO, UNA PISTOLA) by Stelvio Cipriani. It is the only non Morricone western theme that Henry Mancini recorded, became popular and got radio play here in the states. Catchy as hell.

I've got Cipriani's BLINDMAN score loaded onto my iPod and its been getting a lot of play.

My two favourites is

Sante Maria Romitelli's score tothe Lee Van Cleef VS Jack Palance western GOD'S GUN (1976)
Hoping for a release on that one, think it's MGM that owns it.

And then we have my favourite score of alltime.
Francesco DeMasi's 1983 score to LONE WOLF McQUADE.

Gosh - where to start on this one!!!

Jim has given you a good shout there as are all the other mentions. Like Damian says, another great Nicolai was Shanghai Joe (but maybe this was the same as Jim's Apocalypse joe?) - very much like land raiders, twangy guitar, trumpet, etc. Plus also La Fossa by nicolai

although lone wolf mcquade had Italian western music it was of course a terrible cheesy chuck norris thriller, not a western. although it did feature pointy toe cowboy boots!

My faves are The 3 score CD de masi that includes kill them all and come back alone/ - some wonderful allesandroni whistling, twangy guitar but with that unmistakeable de masi sound.

recommended:=

Texas adios.
Django (as suggested).
Sabata.
Grande Duello
Long Days of revenge
Day of anger
Ace High
shoot gringo shoot
Ballad of a pistolero (Giombini)
Ringo nel Nebraska
Uno Dopo L'Altro (Bongusto)
Ringo: Il Volto Della Vendetta (De Masi - lots of slow trumpet)
Vendetta (Ferrio)
Io Non Perdono Uccido (Piccioni)
Deserto Di Fuoco (Bixio - wonderful edda)

I also like the recent robby Poitevin release - his name cried vengeance. a little different and quite low key but good.

there were around 500 italian westerns so plenty to choose from. so it aint surprising the list is long and endless once you start.

I don't think it has ever gotten a proper release, I only have 3 tracks from it, on the album "Spaghetti westerns, vol.1", but "Deserto di fuoco" (Bixio & Pregadio) surely has one of the most amazing non-Morricone themes:

Yep, that's Edda singing.

C'mon Miguel it's the ultimate spaghetti western tribute in modern setting.

It's got alot more than pointy cowboy boots.

It doesn´t need to have horses to be a western, and the Texas Rangers is called the modernday cowboys...

the only one i can think of is PRICE OF POWER and Morricone ghosted the majority of the Bacalov score.
It just aint spaghetti w/o the Morricone sauce!
