Last night I watched "Dracula A.D. 1972", not expecting much, but had a fun time. Long live "Alligator Man."

Love it! We even get a guy in a red velvet jacket and frilly shirt to remind us the updated Hammer Dracs were written by the Pertwee era Doctor Who's Don Houghton. And he even appears to be wearing Tom Baker's hat for good measure...lol

I am a HUGE Hammer Horror fan... They are my favorite horror films (along with John Carpenter films)...

I love them all... However, if I had to choose, my ABSOLUTE TOP 5 FAVORITE Hammer Horror movies are (in no order):

HORROR OF DRACULA
THE BRIDES OF DRACULA
DRACULA: PRINCE OF DARKNESS
DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE
SCARS OF DRACULA

Obviously, I am very bias to the Dracula films, as I love that series so much...

So, here are my Top 5 Runners-up (in no order) to include some other classics:

THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN
FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED
THE MUMMY
THE GORGON
QUATERMASS AND THE PIT

You can't go wrong with Hammer films, especially with ones featuring Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and director Terence Fisher... And of course with ones featuring the great music of James Bernard!
