A professor of mine in college had a locked edit of the movie minus a score (or any post production sound work for that matter) and used it on one of our assignments in a film scoring class. After the class was over I tracked down the movie and watched it and was stunned at how terribly cheesy the music was (an all synth score of the worst kind). It was horrible because it was a re-recording of a scratched LP. Really? I like this one a lot on CD (after LIVE AND LET DIE it's probably my most-played non-Barry Bond score) but it really doesn't work in the movie itself. This thread is just proof that everyone might like film scores, but everyone has their own likes and dislikes. Posters have said that they do not like scores that I think are great: Tora! Tora!
