Joel Goldsmith's Witchblade. This is the only score I have of his I don't like. I just bought it for the autograph. Don't think I've made it all the way through.

The Undefeated (though I like Hombre)
The Bravados
Tora! Tora! Tora! (even if it is JG)
Giant (the recording quality, not the music, sounds like crap!)

You should give UNDEFEATED another chance. I have listened to it several times in the past few days and have really enjoyed it!

And THE BRAVADOS? Friedhofer has so much fun with Newman's great theme ...

Apocalypto.

Normally I enjoy James Horner but this one was painful to listen through.

Not really wanting to add too much in the way of negativity, even if they are rubbish scores.

I enjoy it within the film and I like Montenegro, but as a stand-alone listen---not so much.

Robin & Marian, StarCrash. Middle period John Barry notto my taste. I gave Robin & Mariasn to my mother for her B-day. StarCrash is available for cash discount or trade.

Assassination, the ol' Charles Bronson movie.

A professor of mine in college had a locked edit of the movie minus a score (or any post production sound work for that matter) and used it on one of our assignments in a film scoring class. After the class was over I tracked down the movie and watched it and was stunned at how terribly cheesy the music was (an all synth score of the worst kind). So being a stupid college student I went on a hunt for it, bought it, and have regretted it ever since.

You know, there is a lot of junk out there. Mercifully, a lot of the things I bought command something of a return on the resale market.
I really ought to go through my shelves and do a little- no, a LOT of spring cleaning. Generate a little kern, too.

20 years ago I picked up at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC an LP soundtrack of The Paradine Case and Spellbound. It was horrible because it was a re-recording of a scratched LP.

Cost me $20 and I was madder than hell.

Goldeneye.

Really? I like this one a lot on CD (after LIVE AND LET DIE it's probably my most-played non-Barry Bond score) but it really doesn't work in the movie itself. There are some lovely tracks on this, particularly "We Share The Same Passions".

I haven't seen the film, and still give the score a big thumb's up!

Lord Of The Rings - Shore

Never bought the next 2, highly overrated scores.

This thread is just proof that everyone might like film scores, but everyone has their own likes and dislikes.

Posters have said that they do not like scores that I think are great: Tora! Tora! Tora!, Missing In Action 2 and Robin & Marian.
