Yeah I had posted that video--see 5 December 2014 entry. The controversy was not a pleasant situation to experience. An early Internet cautionary tale if ever there were.
Daniel2 was a lot of people. I think I recall first learning about him when he'd carbon copy e-mail bitching to people like me -- somebody who'd never communicated with him before and had no idea who he was. It's like he wanted other people to get in on it.
I remember in the early days there were some oddball posters here, like Latham Conger III and Daniel2... and I do remember that the annoying thing about Daniel2 were not his opinions (I think everybody's entitled to enjoy the music as they see fit), nor his insistence on long-winded posts (write your heart out, no one is forced to read it), nor his weird obsession with all things Jerry Goldsmith. The annoying thing about Daniel2 was that he opened up thread after thread after thread with basically the same subject matter, spreading out conversations and rambling on in thread after thread after thread (after thread... and so on) about the same subject. Though it still strikes me as odd that Daniel2's secret identity was H Rocco. Has that really been confirmed? Whoa.
