I still think Band's THE DAY TIME ENDED is his best work....
I recall that Doug Fake liked this score as well, and Band referred to it as a complex 12-tone composition. There was an LP released a long time ago (and I actually saw this ridiculous film in theaters), but I don't remember the music. I'd like to hear it again, though.

the film gets slammed a lot but for some reason it resonates with me. If only someone would put out a nicely remastered DVD because so far they're all pretty fuzzy. the best copy I found was on Brentwood's TIME TRAVELERS box collection. Alpha video just released it again as a double feature with DOOMSDAY MACHINE but I haven't seen it yet. Alpha isn't known for their high quality transfers. I've got a CDR of the Varese album....beautiful music IMO.
Managed to snag a copy of this from SAE. I don't know how this one slipped by me during the 80's. I knew I had to have it after hearing the main titles on youtube. Rest of the score is just as awesome. Never seen the film, maybe just as well? Is that the Blaster Beam I hear in there?
I saw this movie in theaters and felt fooled since it is called METALSTORM: THE DESTRUCTION OF JARED-SYN, but there is no destruction of Jared-Syn whatsoever. No sir! He escapes at the end in his flying-motorcycle into some kind of stargate.
