Is anyone here familiar with this score and film? I love both.

Wow, I didn't think anyone remembered that movie! Always loved that main title...very catchy. I used to tape record it from my TV and listen to it all the time.

Me as well- great cast... the film feels kind of like a play. This, along with Foul Play, are great forgotten comedy gems. Wish they would get a soundtrack release of sorts...

Yeah great stuff, movie and score. Seems to be a mostly forgotten Chevy Chase movie these days. Probably my second favorite Charles Grodin role after Midnight Run. And disco scores might be more fun now than back at the time.

I'm glad to see others are familiar with the scores and films Seems Like Old Times and Foul Play. BTW, the song Ready To Take A Chance Again from Foul Play is on the CD Barry Manilow-Ultimate Manilow.

And after HEAVEN CAN WAIT.

The main theme (not disco, but with that "philadelphia sound" on the strings and the drums) is very catchy. The film is funnier than FOUL PLAY, IMO.

I actually thought of Heaven Can Wait just as I was posting but left out it's mention. Another favorite.

I'm not really familiar with the Philly Sound but whatever it is I like it.

And I too like this one better than Foul Play but not by a lot. Both are great.

Here's the opening to the SLOT by the way:

There was a listing (at the time of the film's release) for a soundtrack LP on Audio Fidelity but it never materialized.

Bummer.

Does anyone know what Hamlisch is up to these days?

I just received Hamlisch's I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES and love it! I wonder if SEEMS LIKE OLD TIMES is a posibility since it was also a Neil Simon production.

Hamlisch recently appeared with the Seattle Symphony--and Sha Na Na! I kid you not.

Just watched this on dvd after not seeing it for years. Still holds up, and why the hell was there no soundtrack release?
