Lukas, I recall EARTH II quite well, but had forgotten that Gary L.ockwood was in it, remembering it as starring Anthony Franciosa.

I had recorded the main title to my trusty Sony Superscope reel-to-reel recorder back then and was somewhat miffed that the mostly in the clear main title was soiled by Franciosa's line, "Earth II", when the station comes into view.

The end title music is pretty much the same as the music as Franciosa's ship first approaches Earth II.

Perhaps one of the labels will release the score. On the DVD release, are the discs double-sided?

I remember this show and someone pointing out that it didn't work because it was not an "office" show. Star Trek is the ultimate sci-fi "office" show -- the Enterprise is the office, and travels to where the story is. Earth 2, the people were wandering around without roots. Sci-fi is apparently really hard without the office. No kidding!

Logan's Run and Planet of the Apes (TV) are other examples for that, I think!

And, after all these years, an official release of the score would still be great!

Dude deserves a release of some kind for all of the awesome trailer music he wrote for Universal in the early 90's. Fantastic stuff.

I wonder if any of the labels are looking into releasing this series' music?
So far only a 37 minute promo has ever been issued for the pilot episode.
It was a Universal show, so Intrada could be the front-runner, although it's also in La La Lands type of release zone.
I'd love a 2 disc edition crammed with highlights from the 21 episodes that were made.
Anyone else with me on this one?

Oh, I am -- as I said in my first post all those years ago. Doubt it will ever happen, though -- it was a marginal series then, and most certainly now.

Good music. Was a steven spielberg series and those are usually well scored. As to release why not? Pair it with Sealab 2020 complete?
