Thanks again for another great meeting. It was great seeing everyone, and I am still amazed at how fast the five hours flew by!
I enjoyed seeing what everyone was drinking. Thor, I will see if I can track down that IPA you showed me. With any luck I can crack open a bottle of it at the next session. Does the beer come in that one size, or is there an expanded version available? Something that probably has no appeal to you I imagine.
I’d have liked to join as well but was coming back from a week’s well-deserved break in one of the few parts of Wales not in lockdown. We’d have had to cancel if we’d left it a week later due to new restrictions by the Welsh government.
By that’s by the way - will do whatever’s necessary to be in the next one...

Howard L. is the designated driver of the "Cheers!" meet ups. His most un-Hemingway-like sobriety keeps us on the road to...The Twilight Zone.
I bought some vodka this week but have yet to try it: a bottle of Absolut Pears and Zubrówka, from Poland. I won't drink these during our meetings because they would inhibit my ability to, do, well, anything.
I was in awe upon seeing even the smallest, locals pubs with a room occupied by huge beer tanks! The beer was the best I've ever tasted and was always poured and served with the utmost care and professionalism.
It was also fascinating to observe the local beer-drinking culture, among the many people I observed included 5'2" females drinking their weight in Pilsner Urquell, but never once exhibiting signs of intoxication or rude behavior; can't say the same about some of the UK tourists, sadly, but those were few and far between. I'm embarrassed for the US tourists mentioned in the video who returned beer because it had "too much foam."
I wish Howard would take a drink with us some day!
I'm having a 'white weekend' this weekend (for the first time in YEARS), but I'll be back with a vengeance next week. All alcohol serving in pubs, restaurants etc. has been suspended in Oslo anyway, so one can only drink in private homes.
A White Weekend? I've never heard that term before. What does that mean, drinking milk and eating cookies?
Our pubs, restaurants, cafes have been closed for the past 3 weeks and are due to reopen next weekend, but apparently that may now be extended by a further 2 weeks.

He, he...I assumed it was an international term, for some reason, and not just Norwegian. It means an alcohol-free weekend. We also have 'white months'.
I hope to be at the Zoomer on Friday. And in 40-minute chunks it won't outstay its welcome, although I'll probably do each session as a 20m A-side and a 20-min B-side.
I hope that no subjects are banned. I really love John Williams' STAR WARS music, and I'm sure Thor does too.
