THE ODYSSEY---film set photo released shows Christopher Noland and Tom Holland on a boat. Holland's role is speculated to be Telemachus, the son of Odysseus and Penelope. Another photo shows Holland and Jon Bernthal.
SPIDER-MAN 4---Sadie Sink (STRANGER THINGS) has joined the sequel cast in an undisclosed role.
THUNDERBOLTS---photo released of Bucky Barnes as a Congressman.
BILLION DOLLAR SPY---Russell Crowe and Harry Lawtey will star in the movie based on the true story of Russian engineer Adolf Tolkachev, who tried unsuccessfully to give secret military information to the US until a CIA agent was convinced the offer was legitimate.
THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA---Daniel Craig has reportedly been offered a role in the Netflix movie directed by Greta Gerwig. Speculation is that Craig would play London magician Uncle Andrew Ketterley.
LANTERNS---Nathan Fillion commented on his role as Guy Gardener in the HBO/DC superhero tv series,, “What’s important to know is, you don’t have to be good to be a Green Lantern; you just have to be fearless. So Guy Gardner is fearless, and he is not very good.
He’s not nice, which is very freeing as an actor because you just think to yourself, what is the most selfish, self-serving thing I can do in this moment? And that’s the answer. That’s what you do in that moment. I think if he has a superpower, it might be his overconfidence, in that he thinks he could take on Superman. He can’t!”
NFL---Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe will star in the untitled NBC comedy series in which a disgraced NFL star seeks to rehabilitate his image by hiring a famous filmmaker to move into his mansion to film a documentary about the player.
THE PERFECT COUPLE---Netflix is developing Season 2 to the mystery series starring Nicole Kidman which will be based on the novel SWAN SONG and will have a new cast. The novel's synopsis says, “It follows what happens when the mysterious Richardson family buys a $22 million house on Nantucket. The Richardsons throw huge parties, flirt with locals, own two yachts and raise the hopes of everyone they meet. When their house burns down and the family’s most essential employee goes missing, the island’s residents are beside themselves.”
TRIVIA---Grace Lee Whitney is best known for playing Yeoman Janice RAND on STAR TREK. Whitney also was the first Chicken of the Sea tuna mermaid in 1952 when she appeared as the mermaid on THE EDGAR BERGEN AND CHARLIE McCARTHY SHOW on CBS Radio. Whitney said, "We did the show on a stage before a large studio audience, so the visual part of the show was still important. It was important that the mermaid who sang the tuna jingle look the part. Because I couldn't walk in that costume, stagehands had to pick me up and carry me onstage. I would sing the commercial, then they'd pick me up and carry me off again as I waved my wand to the audience."
Chicken of the Sea states, "....in 1952, our mermaid mascot made her debut. The original illustration, with her tall blonde beehive and button nose, was modeled after Grace Lee Whitney—the actress who played Yeoman Janice Rand on the original Star Trek series."
