These are glasses that I associate with the nerdiest of the nerds. They were different because the upper half of the frame was dark, and the lower half was translucent white-ish. (I think Bernard Herrmann wore them.) Anyway, I thought they'd died out with the last of the generation of men who died of old age in the 1970's. But I saw them in the drugstore, being sold to young men now.
