Alien 3 - I'll get no agreement from anyone here except Thor.
I liked it Scott, especially the grim mining settlement where none of the doors worked lol. Great cast and Dutton was superb. It was just very different from the marine-led action of Aliens 2. I suspect that caught people out - a planet stuck with an alien where no one had any weapons.
SPOILER ahead about SPLIT (I guess everybody here knows... but just in case):
I thought SPLIT was a pretty good sequel. It's a film that works on its own, so much in fact, that it was not at all advertised as a sequel, yet in a surprise "twist" ending (this is an M. Night Shyamalan movie after all), it turned out to be a sequel to UNBREAKABLE. That was pretty neat, I liked that. It was a sequel that strived to be not just a mere retread of the previous movie, but set a very different focus.
Also glad to see someone else love ALIEN 3 up there. We're a rare species. (I belong to those even rarer species that love all the other ALIEN films too, even ROMULUS to some extent).
