THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17

THE ELECTRIC STATE---trailer released for the Netflix sci fi movie starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt.

THE CREEP TAPES---trailer released for the Shudder found footage horror tv series.

CHRISTOPHER NOLAN---after rumors of Christopher Nolan's next movie would be a remake of the classic Patrick McGoohan tv series THE PRISONER, a sci fi movie or a movie inspired by the advanced helicopter movie BLUE THUNDER starring Roy Scheider, VARIETY reported Nolan's next movie will be an espionage thriller, "Sources say Nolan’s latest isn’t another sci-fi epic; some speculate that it may be in the espionage genre. That’s not a surprise given that Nolan flirted with making a Bond film at one point."

SUPERMAN---James Gunn replied to fan questions after he posted a photo of Superman with his dog Krypto in which fans wanted to know why Krypto is not a labrador as in the comic book, “Krypto arrives on screens in Superman this summer. Krypto was inspired by our dog Ozu, who we adopted shortly after I started writing Superman. Ozu, who came from a hoarding situation in a backyard with 60 other dogs & never knew human beings, was problematic to say the least. He immediately came in & destroyed our home, our shoes, our furniture – he even ate my laptop. It took a long time before he would even let us touch him. I remember thinking, ‘Gosh, how difficult would life be if Ozu had superpowers?’- and thus Krypto came into the script & changed the shape of the story as Ozu was changing my life. What better time to debut the not-so-good-good-boy Krypto than AdoptaShelterDog month. Btw, Ozu today, is, fairly often, a very good boy.”

MR. IRRELEVANT---David Corenswet (SUPERMAN) will star in the biomovie about John Tuggle, the last played picked in the 1983 NFL draft by the New York Giants and surprisingly made the team only to later die of cancer.

GODZILLA MINUS ONE---to celebrate Godzilla's 70th anniversary, the Academy Award-winning movie will return to AMC Theatres on November 1 with 13 minutes of new bonus content.

SPIDER-MAN 4---Tom Holland commented on the status of the sequel, “It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job. I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down, read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room.”

BALLERINA---after sources claimed Chad Stahelski reshot large parts of the JOHN WICK spinoff movie without director Len Wiseman being present, another source connected directly to BALLERINA denied the original claim and added that Wiseman led the reshots with Stahelski.

SCRUBS---creator Bill Lawrence commented on the status of the reboot of the comedy tv series, “I think it’s getting really close to being figured out, and I think in a good way. Big chunks of the creative team behind the camera, and most of it from in front of the camera, are all super invested and excited, so very close.”
He added, “We’ve been talking about a lot, and I think the only real reason to do it is a combo. A: people wanting to see what the world of medicine was like for the people they love, which is part of any successful reboot. But B: I think that show always worked because you get to see young people dropped into the world of medicine, knowing young people that go there are super idealistic and are doing it because it’s a calling. There’s no cliché ‘rich doctors playing golf’ — that’s not what it is anymore. So I think that, no matter what it is, it would be a giant mistake not to do as a combo of those two things.”

TRIVIA---BACK TO THE FUTURE co-star Lea Thompson commented on Michael J. Fox, who starred on FAMILY TIES, after he was signed to replace Eric Stoltz, “I remember specifically being really snooty because there was a big division between movie stars and TV stars at that point. I remember being like, ‘He’s just a TV star and I’m a movie star — I was in JAWS 3-D.' So I think it took me a while to warm up to him.”
Fox won three Emmy Awards for starring in FAMILY TIES and JAWS 3-D was nominated for five Golden Raspberry Awards including Worst Picture.

Hooooo DOGGIE, this gonna go over like a dog turd salad at Ma Maison!

As a Dog lover with no stock in another Superman, Krypto or Gunn at all, I find it hilarious we're now just looking 'round the house for inspiration and messing up beloved Canon business.
Anticipating brighter folk to weigh in on this.

The Hollywood Battle Against Fans continues....woof.

Not something to brag about, Lea, not something to brag about. Even while the movie was in theaters.

James Gunn & his dog= who cares.

Wouldn't it be funny if the dog ate some better quality scripts that were lying about the house. And all that was left was a piece of shit.

I really didn’t know Krypto was a specific bread of (terrestrial) dog and don’t really care. But the explanation for using a different bread is dog sh*t.

Shouldn’t the re-release of Godzilla Minus One be called Godzilla Plus Thirteen? And I might have to see a third time in the theater!

Triumph or tragedy, Krypto's introduction to a new generation of human swine is going to jack up the prices of Superman Family.

Considering she was also in All the Right Moves and Red Dawn prior to BTTF, which were (while not great), more popular and well received, I am willing to bet she's telling this story in a very self mocking tone which got a laugh.

Honesty. big grin

Krypto was laughable in the comics, until his one shining moment when he died in "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?"

I'd be more upset Krypto is in the movie at all!

I can’t stop looking at the picture that Jim posted of the Superman Family...

The blue hair that I had forgotten about from my comic reading days.

The fact that everyone smiled on comic book covers back in the day.

That stupid dog that I loathed even as a pre-pubescent teen who loved comic books.

The reference to a Superbaby.

The fact that Supergirl looks like she’s packing a bigger package in her tights than Superman........

Having met Lea, I'd certainly say this was said tongue in cheek.

She is one of the warmest, friendliest celebs I have met, not to mention one of the sexiest, ever!

I met her and Claudia together, and was on Cloud Nine the rest of the day-my two teen BTTF crushes at once, still looking fine 20 odd years later!

Good, I hope she meant it that way. 'cause otherwise her tombstone would need to read:

Here lies Lea Thompson: Additional co-star of JAWS 3-D

But does she have a bigger package than M.J.F., since you're on the look out, you know. ;-)

She was wearing a very low cut dress. In the photo my friend took, she is leaning forward and she is showing some serious cleavage....

I LOVE that woman.....!
