Please God no. They never work. They never get it. They always make an exaggerated parody out of what were already adult parodies with more violence.

Let's face it, we do not want to see this. Because of course the other two will follow.

Sometimes you just want these to stop. But of course it won't. We bounty killers will have to die to see a end to it.

We can of course be amused at how wrong they get it all.....

Even I came to know of him before TZ, as I'm sure did many others, thanks to his indelible appearance and performance as Queequeg in Moby Dick. That flick came out the year I was born but it didn't take long for it to hit TV.

Come on guys, you know that a Fistful of Dollars remake would
be just right,
With Tom Hardy as the Man, Pedro Pascal as Ramon Rojo, and
an echo-y score by Ludwig Goransson?
Maybe it will be an “Authentic” western at last?

First off Fistful will look too clean.

RE: Gladiator II- Need I have to ask, WTF?! There’s so much wrong with that trailer. Certainly has all the trappings of modern day Hollywood.

Even if Fistful turns out at least good, it's deficient in three core things that make it what it is.

Leone, Eastwood and Morricone. Without these three it's like, what's the point?

A better idea would be to make another Dollars movie, like the novel series they did that included adaptations of the existing three. They could go to town on that. While comparisons would still be made, it would be less annoying, more interesting and be better judged on it's own merits.

Still, good intentions appear to be there. It's backed by Jolly Films...

Devil Wears Prada was a delightful cream puff of a movie, the sequel sounds darn depressing

...

This. I had all those books - Dollar to die for, a coffin full of dollars, blood on a dirty dollar, the million dollar bloodhunt, the devils dollar sign, easily make another film around one or more of those plots. But still fuck it up. Lol

I'd like to see them use Eastwood's son in the lead role. He has the voice and the Clint looks.

For years I hoped Eastwood would actually cast Lee Van Cleef one day in one of his films for old times sakes.

Of course deep down I also hoped he'd revisit the Dollars scenario.

Oh well. At least he used Ennio...

Don't forget a story/scriptwriter that's half decent. Today they are nearly all crap.

Edit: they were also violent( for the time) but not graphic( when compared to today). Today there would be blood n guts everywhere. Also I always see something quirky in them, it could be anything ( hiding your gun in a chicken). I don't think they do quirky today.

I only watched the original for a second time the other night - the first time that I had watched it in years. It is a solid movie that stands up today.

Having seen the original and then seen this trailer......the reason for a sequel is baffling (besides MONEY).

The original was a really solid film that focused on strong characters and had a fantastic cast. It was popular and was the second highest grossing film of that year.

This sequel looks over the top and they’re trying to give it that epic Lord of the Rings vibe. I’m sure it’s littered with CGI. At $250-$300 million they’re going to have a hard time making their money back unless it makes a billion dollars.
