I don't get that Ballon d'Or thing. Some players seem to think it's some sort of holy grail and justifies their career (Ronaldo and Messi had their own competition going for it), but do supporters give a toss? I read something recently that Alexander-Arnold said he would rather win that than the World Cup, not 100% sure if that's true but if he did it's a ridiculous thing to say.

I think that was just TAA's way of telling Liverpool he's off to Madrid next summer, cos he's not gonna win it playing for LFC (plus he's desperate to join up with Bum-Chum-Bell-End-Ham).
And I don't get the fuss over the Ballon Bauble either.
Unless you're South American, Spanish and/or play for Royal Madrid or Barcelona, you haven't got a sniff (I know Rodri of Man City won it this year, but that was probably for his Spain/Euro's exploits).
No one gives a sh!t.

I think he's going to Royal Madrid as well. I find it hard to believe if he were to stay it hasn't been sorted by now. And come January he is free to negotiate with any European club, and I imagine Liverpool won't match what they will offer him and there being no transfer fee. Great player, with the ego to match.

Talking of the Ballon d'Or, the behaviour of Royal Madrid is totally embarrassing for that club. Talk about a sense of entitlement, do they think Franco is still around to fix things for them?

Yeah, I was just laughing at that earlier.
They're like a bunch of fkn entitled babies.
I hope this is their time to dip and suffer a bit.
They've got an overload of talent they don't quite know what to do with. Overpaid, over-egged ego's.
Trying to fit Mbappe in seems to have thrown out Bell-End and the team.
Ancelotti may have peaked.
I have zero love for Barca too, but it was funny to see them wallop Madrid zip 4 at their gaffe.

Arsenal's last six: two wins, two losses, two draws. Not league winning form. Same old Arsenal really.

Lol

Liverpool did well as city and arse lost

I had Chris wood to score first and win 2 0. I think was 42 quid. And fkn west ham wankers had a man sent off and then contrived to concede a third.
I've been patient, and there are mitigating circumstances, but I think Lopetegui gotta go. Don't see any sign of improvement. I can't understand a fucking word he says, so how the players can comprehend what he wants I don't know.

big grin

It's not looking good for him, I actually thought he was a good appointment but it just hasn't worked out. They wouldn't turn to Moyes a third time surely?

Liverpool were abject in the first half apparently, so must have greatly improved after. Interesting that Arse and Citeh both lost...

Please God don't whisper that. And no, zero chance - except from mischievous journos on a quiet day trolling to wind up west ham fans.

West Ham, like Spurs, remain a mystery to me. Quality managers and players, but consistently bad seasons. Both need new owners.

The owners we have now, despite bad press, are the best owners we've ever had. But yes, we are sleeping giant, and as I've said before , 1 rich Arab away from being in top six and staying there.

Good to see Arsenal pack those time wasting tactics in today.
They seemed in quite the hurry to play their game earlier.

So Leeds beat Wazza’s Plymouth Argyle 3-0, which won’t get him the sack, unfortunately. It’s desperately sad to see him work his way through a succession of decent clubs and leave them worse off than when he joined. Feel sorry for the fans.

Can’t help thinking The Dog and Duck is his appropriate managerial level.

Some website comments after the game were along the lines of: fair play to him, he could have taken his money and just sat on a beach for the rest of his life. Some wag said that he’d tried that, but people kept rolling him back into the sea.

Spurs thumped Villa today which surely means they'll get beaten by Ipswich next week.

You may mock but even our home gates are 1000 more than Liverpool every game. That aside, just remember I've been saying this, so that when it finally comes to fruition, you lot say Bill you were right, we never believed you. Hammers fanbase is monstrous, but decades of mismanagement has kept us down. The right owner and the sky is the limit .

Mankscum Chelsea was a terrible tedious game. United were awful, sloppy pen to give away by chelsea keeper - truthfully United deserved nothing from the game. Disgraceful studs on knee from martinez on palmer, shuda been a straight red, but this is old Trafford, where murder is overlooked.

Then lost 10 on Chelsea
