SPIDER-MAN 4---rumors claim Sam Raimi is a candidate to direct the sequel and has had some initial talks with Sony Pictures.

RUMOURS---photo released from the comedy movie starring Cate Blanchett and Alicia Vikander in which the the G-7 Summit leaders get lost in the woods and encounter a giant brain.

WEDNESDAY---Steve Buscemi will play the new principal of Nevermore Academy in Season 2.

BATMAN---REACHER star Alan Ritchson said he is not a fan of Marvel movies, “Like everybody else, I sit back and yawn at Marvel movies regurgitating comic book stories that we’ve seen a thousand times because they’re the only way studios feel like they can make money. I want to be a solution; I want to do something about it. So I’m using every bit of leverage that I have to create new, compelling stories. That’s my mission.”
However, Ritchson said he wants to play Batman in DC Studios movie, “I would love to play Batman. There, I said it, OK? I’ll shout it from the rooftops: I wanna be Bruce Wayne! Here’s the thing about Batman – you know what his superpower is? Intelligence. Dude is the smartest superhero there is. Like, he’s inventive and he’s got all the gadgets stuff, but he’s super smart. I want to be that guy and also to have…a cave with hypercars, sports cars, and awesome motorcycles…I’m into that stuff.”

SUPERMAN---Pruitt Taylor Vince will play Pa Kent in the movie.

REBEL MOON---Zack Snyder said he hopes a can direct a third movie, "We have definitely been working on a PART THREE, as far as the story goes. We definitely know where we’re all headed – we’ve known that for quite a while, to be honest. So yeah, I’m excited to make some more REBEL MOON movies – that would be fun.”

ANT-MAN---Michael Douglas said he does not want to return to the MCU, “[Getting killed off] actually was my request for the third one. I said I’d like to have a serious [death], with all these great special effects. There’s got to be some fantastic way where I can shrink to an ant size and explode, whatever it is. I want to use all those effects. But, that was on the last one. Now, I don’t think I’m going to show up [for a fourth].”

TRIVIA---in THE WILD WILD WEST Western spy tv series, Robert Conrad played Secret Service Jim West. Conrad was only 5' 8" and wore three-inch heels to make him appear taller. Most guest actresses used in the series were not allowed to be taller than 5' 6".
Casting director Ethel Winant said, "We shot this crazy scene with a pool table. We always put Bobby in the foreground and the other actors in the background. We always used the same set, which forced perspective, and we would test people so we could have short people around. Bobby would wear a hat and have boots and lifts and we made these very elaborate chaffs to make him look taller in the tests. We figured we could probably get away from it in the show because he'd be on horses. But it was hard to do it on the set."

5' 8" Robert Conrad with 5' 4" Sherry Jackson in THE WILD WILD WEST episode "The Night of the Gruesome Games".

Yeah, when I watched Reacher and all the Batman movies, my first thoughts were, "Damn, those are totally original ideas".

Ritchson has a valid point. The MCU's movies suggest a downward slide. Eternals barely resembles Jack Kirby's concept (which was already a kind of watered-down New Gods) and feels like a generic three-act overlong science fantasy waltz. Watching it was a literal chore, what with its horrible pacing, '80s TV level dialogue and "required" trope checklist. For all the cred Chloe Zhao got for The Rider and Nomadland, a big budget movie shook off her reins and escaped the corral.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Toby Spider-Man film. Old, more matured superhero. This time with a Joseph LoDuca score.
