An episode of The Saint, 'The Ex-King of Diamonds' is included. Regarded as an unofficial pilot for The Persuaders. Surely, a blu-ray release of this series, or even Danger Man can't be far off. Via Vision continue to impress with their revamped Network titles.

That depends on whether or not the restoration to HD was done already. Imprint/Via Vision doesn't do that work generally, they just kind of gather up all the prints and bonus features, maybe adds a few new bits, and puts them all together in a region free package.

Apparently, it was on the Network release. As it's somewhat difficult and pricey to obtain this version, I would gladly purchase the new release from Via Vision. Something like this, I'm glad I held off. Their next batch of British tv titles should be interesting. There is talk of Danger Man, or even The Saint being announced.

That's my order placed.

As The Last Projectionist Standing once told me, support the region. smile

Was the series any good? Vaguely remember it showing on TV way back in the day.

I have fond memories of it. I would rate it next to Department S, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), The Saint and Danger Man.

Sure the episode was, but I meant the series in general. Perhaps Vendatta for the Saint and The Fiction-Makers would be possible since they were feature film releases of those episodes.

But unless Via Vision is getting into the restoration business and that work has yet to be done, I doubt we'll see them soon.

Not sure. You could ask them. They have quite a visible presence on FB. I for one, am happy they are reissuing this. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of these Network titles.
