An episode of The Saint, 'The Ex-King of Diamonds' is included. Regarded as an unofficial pilot for The Persuaders. Surely, a blu-ray release of this series, or even Danger Man can't be far off. Via Vision continue to impress with their revamped Network titles.

That depends on whether or not the restoration to HD was done already. Imprint/Via Vision doesn't do that work generally, they just kind of gather up all the prints and bonus features, maybe adds a few new bits, and puts them all together in a region free package.

Apparently, it was on the Network release. As it's somewhat difficult and pricey to obtain this version, I would gladly purchase the new release from Via Vision. Something like this, I'm glad I held off. Their next batch of British tv titles should be interesting. There is talk of Danger Man, or even The Saint being announced.

Sure the episode was, but I meant the series in general. Perhaps Vendatta for the Saint and The Fiction-Makers would be possible since they were feature film releases of those episodes.
But unless Via Vision is getting into the restoration business and that work has yet to be done, I doubt we'll see them soon.

Not sure. You could ask them. They have quite a visible presence on FB. I for one, am happy they are reissuing this. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of these Network titles.
Via Vision screwed up my order. Instead of The Persuaders, they shipped Hero, Zu Warriors and The Wander Earth II. They told me to keep the titles and will ship out a replacement copy of The Persuaders. I may offer these to anyone who wants them.
Was the series any good? Vaguely remember it showing on TV way back in the day.
Speaking strictly for myself, The Persuaders is in my top five of my all-time favorite TV series. I like it for its glimpse into its era, the comedic chemistry between its two leads, and of course its music (theme and underscore).
I've known about those toy cars for many years, Bill, so don't get me started! Between those and the Simon & Simon toy replicas, I have spent hours on eBay down the years coming so close to buying them, but never "pulling the trigger." I always end up telling myself, "Phelps, all these toys are going to do is collect dust on your shelves!"
So I never buy them.
The only film car I ever had was the James Bond Goldfinger ejector seat one, which I got around 1981.
