To me this guy embodied the American dream like no one else - becomes a sports star, into a movie star, blatantly kills his wife and gets away with it, writes a book about it, and, ego-inflated by all this runaway success, gets busted for trying to get his 'stuff' back like a 12 year old playing schoolyard rules. Boom.
It would be appropriate if Simpson's last thought was the sense that he was seeing birds approaching......and then the last sound he heard was the booming sound of a famous Jerry Goldsmith score cue.....
From THE NAKED GUN starring Leslie Nielsen (Lt. Frank Drebin), George Kennedy (Capt. Ed Hocken) and OJ Simpson (Nordberg).
Ed: "That's no way for a man to die."
Frank: "Ah, you're right, Ed. A parachute not opening... that's a way to die. Getting caught in the gears of a combine... having your nuts bit off by a Laplander, that's the way I wanna go!"
Mrs. Nordberg: "[Wilma sobs again] Oh... Frank! Oh, this is terrible!"
Ironically, Mrs. Nordberg was played by Susan Beaubian, who played the jury foreperson on THE PEOPLE VS. OJ SIMPSON: AMERICAN CRIME STORY.

Subject should read: O.J. Simpson finally goes to hell.
