Just a general warning about this site. Based on my recent experience I would avoid this site at all costs. I finally had to go to Visa to get a refund from this UK based business. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Thanks for the warning. There have been a few other threads about elitesoundtracks over the years, all of them negative. How anyone who operates in such an unprofessional manner stays in business is beyond me.

I think the guy's name is Santos.

I think the guy's name is Santos.

That would make perfect sense.

In seriousness though, I did contact a couple people at Lucasfilm a few years ago due to them selling fake Star Wars "expansions". Last I heard they were looking at getting the site taken down.

I also recommend to avoid them. They are also on Discogs so avoid them there too! Terrible seller.

They also con people into buying desriable products like the apparently complete MOONRAKER.

However, all such bootlegs inevitably end up being simple rips of the official CD padded out with Silva Screen recordings, Erich Kunzel recordings, MIDI mock-ups, so-called "back channel" audio rips from DVDs or BluRays, or some combination.

Avoid.

Cheers

I never ordered anything from them, and thanks to your shared experiences and warnings I won't in the future. It's interesting to note they don't offer PayPal, which does have fairly good customer protection.

I've recently bought three Intrada titles* from them via Discogs, after missing out on them and seeing their price double or triple (at least) in price everywhere else.
They had them for the cheapest price (about £5 more than their original price) and when they arrived they were brand new/shrink-wrapped and perfect condition and delivered within 5 days.
I had to give them 5 Star feedback cos they sent me everything I wanted in perfect nick.

*Congo, Lady In White and another I can't recall..

Problem is..... if he has them in stock, he sends them to you. Seems simple. It's how things should work after all.

But... he regularly lists items he doesn't actually have, takes your money, and hopes you'll just forget about it. Communication is appalling. And then after multiple un-replied messages, he gets aggressive and abusive with you if you try to leave a bad review. PayPal disputes all over the place.

He also sells boots.

Sometimes people get lucky, like you Kev. And that's annoyingly enough to keep him in shady business!

Sooner or later his luck will run out and someone will feel his collar.

Has anyone done a search on his 'business address'

I have had numerous problems with them in the past and always recommend my friends to avoid them. On a couple of occasions they took my money for soundtrack they didn't have and then made it very difficult for me to get my money back.

One of the things that is a seriously a red flag is that they do not specify which release (edition, label) of a soundtrack it is they are offering.

I too have had an online run-in with this guy via eBay. Ordered an Intrada title which actually wasn't in stock. Gave him the benefit of the doubt for a month, then told him I wanted a refund. He got nasty and blocked me. I explained all to eBay and PayPal and got a full refund.

How on earth he's still allowed to sell on eBay is beyond me. Enough people have reported he's either selling bootlegs, or goods he often doesn't yet have in stock, to them over the years. I guess they don't care. About time we all started hammering eBay with reports of his bootlegs as/when they appear...

I dealt with this crook once about three years ago: got one of the CDs I wanted and fought him for a refund on the one he clearly didn't have.
He's a bootleg-selling, drop-shipping, foul-tempered individual and it beggars belief he's still allowed to trade on eBay.
Avoid!
