Great question! I compared tracklists from both edition and also couldn't locate this one. So, I can imagine 2 possible variants - Barry named it somehow else, and we will know how, when we'll get CD. And second possibility - this track was actually not Barry one! Lucia Hwong was credited as "chinese music consultant" for Barry. So maybe she composed this entire track?
Over the weekend, I took a look at the movie. I didn't hear the track anywhere in the finished edit. The track certainly sounds "chinese." I wonder if it was written by Lucia Hwong for a sequence in Chinatown and then didn't get used. Perhaps the indefatigable Leonard and Walker will explain all.
Certainly, one of JB's finest scores, that fits the movie and characters so well. To come full circle, back to the package presentation, the new artwork looks amazing.
For a while I'd been wondering how to sequence the score and source tracks on the original Prometheus release. Looks like this will save me the trouble!
I've only had the chance to listen to the first few cues, but from what I heard it sounds good. I haven't listened to the Prometheus in a long time, so I can't say how much better this sounds. Interesting to read in the notes the plans Barry had for an original soundtrack release of 26 minutes!
And indeed the source music and short additional cues all seem to be in the running order of the score on this release for the most part.
What happened to this CD? Was this a limited edition? Silva screen lists it as sold out, none of the specialty labels seem to be carrying it and the few places online that seem to have it are quiet expensive?

I think it's just indicate that first batch is sold out. Silva Screen doesn't have "temporary out of print" status. We saw "sold out" for their Tamarind Seed too. Now CD is still available. But at least you can contact them - Anna is very kind and helpful person, and if she's not too busy with other projects, she'll respond you very quickly.

Thanks. I thought it was a bit odd. I will send her an email.
