They released SO MUCH UK archival content... and now they're gone. Sad.

Website also gone.

Gutted. Wonderful company. So sad. Had many more things to buy eventually.

I guess this is what happens when you're interested in just a little more than purely profit.

I guess it was inevitable. They probably did well to survive so long because some of the releases were very niche. But at least we got them. Who else would have released a 94 disc boxset of Crossroads?

I very much fear for the future of physical media now. I wonder if the BBC will finish the Doctor Who blu-ray range? We're still only halfway through. They might have to speed up their release pattern.

I managed to find a couple of outlets in the UK that I'll be ordering from. Hopefully, they will come through.

Just now read about it as I am watching their "Persuaders" DVDs.
Terrible, terrible news. In the past decade I bought so many of their sets. Most of them ITC series, many times a gamble and many times it payed off very well, So much entertainment. I'm lucky that I have all the series I wanted and
am surprised that they lived for as long as they did but I am terribly sad for all the people working at Network that are now without work.

Thank you very much to the people at Network, you brought joy to my life. I really wish that you will receive in kind for it.

D.S.

I saw this over at the Network DVD Fan Club FB page.

It's rumoured and unconfirmed that Spirit Entertainment trading as Dazzler Media as a well-known distributor of physical media in the U.K., the largest independent Home Entertainment sales and distribution specialist in the UK who manage BBC Studios Home Entertainment physical catalogue at retail and its manufacturing and distribution supply chain outside of a small selection of drama and natural history titles such as Doctor Who and Green Planet will be selling the remaining Network stock of already-produced DVDs and Blu-Rays. No news on any new manufacturing.

Spirit is just a distributor so they absolutely won’t be involved in any new manufacturing unfortunately.

Chalky's had a batch of Network titles. So, I ordered Robin of Sherwood, which I'm expecting next week.
