JOHN WICK 5---Lionsgate head Joe Drake said JOHN WICK 5 is underway, "What is official is that, as you know, BALLERINA is the first spinoff that comes out next year. We're in development on three others, including [JOHN WICK 5] and including television series, THE CONTINENTAL, will be airing soon. And so, we're building out the world and when that five movie comes, will be organic -- will be organically grown out of how we're starting to tell those stories. But you can rely on a regular cadence of John Wick."
The JOHN WICK franchise has surpassed $1 billion in global ticket sales.





TOP GUN: MAVERICK---Tom Cruise was paid $2 million ($5.6 million in 2023 dollars) for the 1986 movie. Cruise will make $100 million or more for MAVERICK which includes a percentage of the sequel's box office.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE--DEAD RECKONING PART ONE---the sequel's runtime is 156 minutes without credits which makes it the longest movie in the franchise.

BUTTERFLY---Daniel Dae Kim will star in this Amazon Studios tv series based on the spy graphic novel. The synopsis says, “In the series, David Jung (Kim), an enigmatic, highly unpredictable former US intelligence operative living in South Korea, whose life is blown to pieces when the consequences of an impossible decision from his past come back to haunt him, and he finds himself pursued by Rebecca, a deadly, sociopathic young agent assigned to kill him."

CITADEL---Amazon Prime renewed the series for Season 2. A spinoff titled CITADEL: DIANA starring Matilda De Angelis is underway.

QUENTIN TARANTINO---Quentin Tarantino said he will retire from movies after his tenth movie, THE MOVIE CRITIC, but he said he might do a tv series, "I could do a TV show. I didn’t say I’m going to go into the night darkly, all right? I could do a TV show. I could do a short film. I could do a play. All kinds of things I could do, but I’ll probably just be more of a writer."

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS---Elizabeth Olsen confirmed reports that Daniel Craig was originally going to appear in the movie as Balder the Brave, “Yes, that’s what I thought was going to happen too. I saw the art. They made a costume. They had a design.”

TRIVIA---in the STAR TREK episode "Shore Leave", stuntman Paul Baxley played the medieval knight who impaled Dr. McCoy. In the KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER episode "The Knightly Murders", Baxley played a man who was impaled by a medieval knight.
Baxley was a star football player, a Marine sniper who was awarded the Bronze Star in World War II and the stuntman/stunt coordinator for STAR TREK, KOLCHAK THE NIGHT STALKER, WONDER WOMAN and THE DUKES OF HAZZARD. His stunt credits also include THE GODFATHER, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, SPARTACUS, IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD and others.
