None of the others make my list. I watched THE UMPIRE STRIKES BACK a few years ago and got bored. I was going to go through more but decided against.
They seemed to be playing to a different audience. I found the first one more general in appeal.
Sir David, I also preferred the original over the second one, but I guess in some circles, that's forbidden. I liked certain things about "Empire" (great third act, for instance), but thought it felt "disjointed" in parts, slow in the middle, and almost like it took place in an entirely different galaxy than the first film.
