Have just come in from seeing the film. Not on IMAX but the screen was big enough.

I really liked it. I only have a sketchy knowldge of the history but enjoyed the movie for what it is. I enjoyed Phoenix's performance and thought Vanessa Kirby was excellent as Josephine. Impressive battle sequences, particlarly Austerlitz, even if it's not quite authentic.

Score certainly works for the film. Also a superb end title roll by Phipps. I have the download and enjoy it but much is missing.

I'm certainly up for the extended version of film and score.

In the meantime I've bought the kindle version of Napoleon The Great by Andrew Roberts to read up on the history.
