One 6-year set of a BBC-series and two feature films that somehow I missed was DOWNTON ABBEY (2010-2015) + (2019 & 2022). Over the past month, during and after recovery at home for a medical treatment, I binge-watched the whole shebang from start to finish. I loved the series, the films, and John Lunn's music. Now I am looking to fill in the John Lunn CDs missing from my collection. One hard-to-find CD is SHETLAND, a 2018 Silva Screen release that for some reason is already rather hard to find. I did see a posting somewhere that the first pressing of the CDs was sometimes blemished with some sort of defect. Is this true? Apparently, Silva Screen never released a second pressing. I'm offering $200 if anyone has an extra copy for sale, or is willing to part with their own copy, or knows where they can get a copy for me. Silva Screen doesn't have a copy (I had a UK seller check for me). The usual soundtrack sellers don't seem to have any copies either. Yes, I am quite aware that SHETLAND is available digitally. I don't do digital, unless I am reluctantly forced to do it. And I'll pay a good price for a hard-to-find physical CD. Any takers??? Or am I doomed to go digital. Let's see what turns up. Here's hoping. Fingers crossed. Etc., etc. My e-mail is in my profile. Ron Burbella

I would suggest keeping an eye on Discogs. A copy sold back in July for around $30. You might have to wait a while, but copies pop up from time to time.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm way ahead of you. It has been added to my "Wantlist" at Discogs, so they will e-mail me when the next copy comes up for sale. I like that feature. Did the same with Ebay. After comprehensive searches of three continents and Japan, starting with Firefox, then with Google Chrome, and then with Microsoft Edge, I may have located a copy at the www.fnac.com website. I put an order in and hope that I won't get the dreaded "Backordered" or "Out-of-Stock" message when they realize that they don't have a copy to send. I got that time after time from many links. Time will tell if it was worth the struggle as a new customer with the French-only website. Using the exact same search terms in each search engine, you can turn up slightly different promising links by using different search engines. Ron Burbella

Thanks for all your suggestions. I've taken note of them all in my searches. I've contacted various out-of-print soundtrack sellers in England, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Europe, and elsewhere. So I am on their CD adar screens. But no luck yet. As added incentive, I have raised my minimum offering price to $250 US. The last copy that I can find that was sold was in Australia over a year ago for about $75. As a (temporary) last resort, I have gotten the score from Amazon Prime Music, which sounds fine on a homemade CDR. Sound Forge converts the Amazon .cda audio file to a .wav file, which is how I like it. I then use Sound Forge to burn the CDR. So I havemusic, and it won't be a major loss if I never find the Silva Screen CD. Apparently, when they have been asked, they (Silva Screen and/or John Lunn) say that they are working on a SHETLAND (Volume 2) future release. Still on the hunt. Ron Burbella
