Can't say Ive ever found an ad campaign endearing. But I adore the General Mills Monster Cereal and Monster Cereal characters. As a kid it was always an exciting time of the year when they hit the store shelves in early fall. I couldn't resist and even purchased the two action figures!
Anyone remember Freakies cereal from the 1970s? I used to collect the little plastic monsters they gave away in each box, but I *never* got a complete set; the boxes would have the same monsters over and over again, and one or two of them were nowhere to be found, at least in my neck of the woods...
I don't even remember what the cereal tasted like, just the experience of collecting the plastic "Freaky" monsters.
