The Legacy of John Williams presents a special video tribute to the historic collaboration between director Steven Spielberg and composer John Williams, whom this year celebrate their 50th anniversary of friendship.

Since their first meeting in 1972, the duo has worked together on 29 feature films, including such beloved titles as JAWS, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL, JURASSIC PARK, SCHINDLER'S LIST, and SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. The diversity and variety of their work, in addition to its astounding volume and duration, make the partnership the longest and most successful collaboration between a film director and a composer in the history of cinema.

It's a gift to all Steven Spielberg/John Williams fans and admirers and it's dedicated to both director and composer, whose artistry continues to enchant, captivate and inspire generations of film lovers around the world.

Excellent video tribute and I loved the editing and the synchronization of the music nuances with the key scenes was just terrific. Well done Maurizio and Team.

Thank you Maurizio for this stunning, heartfelt tribute! It is an excellent reminder why I fell in love with movies and movie music, particularly Spielberg's movies and their John Williams' scores. Since I was born in 1972 I can say their collaboration has accompanied me in my whole life.

Maurizio,
Thank you so much for your beautiful video tribute.
It truly was both a aural and visual treat for the ears and eyes.
A 15 minutes I will return to time and again, to watch those two magicians at work.
And a fantastic reminder of the visual connections that Spielberg has threaded throughout his decades long career, within a variety of film genres.
Like others have noted above, Spielberg ushered in my love of cinema with JAWS at the age of 10 and planted the seed that would grow into a lifelong devotion to film music, which would explode a few years later with STAR WARS and CE3K.
Muchos Gracias from Spain.

Very well done, Maurizio and team, for the many heartfelt moments assembled from the films and their music.

The well-edited and Williams-temp-scored video came to its end, as it should have, but I kept selfishly wishing that it had kept going on. As a Baby Boomer, John Williams and Stephen Spielberg have been a constant presence in my film and film music life since my teens. We three, as well as many of you here reading these messages, have all grown old(er) together during the wonderful Spielberg-Williams collaborative years, which we were mentally crossing our fingers about and hoping would go on endlessly.

Wonderful film!

Thanks you so much for this.
Since you live in Italy do you by any chance have any information if the Milan concert will be filmed?

I agree with Ron.
I too could have happily sat through a video double in length.
