Oh, how sad. I loved Cheers, watched every episode back in the day; she was perfectly cast as Rebecca Howe. Her most prominent TV and film work, at least what I have seen, seems to have spanned from the 80s to the mid 1990s. May she rest in peace.

Oh no! In the late 80s and early 90, I had four big US screen crushes -- Natalie Portman, Winona Ryder, Courney Thorne-Smith and Kirstie Alley. I encountered Alley first in LOOK WHO'S TALKING in the theatre (at the tender age of 12), then on television in NORTH & SOUTH and CHEERS. The STAR TREK thing wasn't until much, much later. Later in life, she became rather wonky, of course (Scientology, bizarre opinions, erratic behaviour and all that), so the crush quickly faded, but it was pretty intense there for a period. Sad either way.

Wow, this is a shock. Still pretty young too. So sad. RIP. This only leaves two living actors from ST2:TWOK no? Ironically Shat and Takei. Much of the cast have passed away. Some very young. So many passed, some pretty young, yes. I did like her, in TWOK especially. It is really too bad she got engulfed in Scientology, (thanks a lot Travolta) Ike is still around, granted, it was a very small part https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084726/characters/nm0252055 R.I.P., very much a shock. IIRC, Walter Koenig is still around.
