I have donated three cherished possessions to a silent auction, in which ALL proceeds go to Save A Yorkie Rescue (a non-profit supporting Yorkshire Terriers).

I met Jerry Goldsmith during his lecture tour to Australia in the 1980s, and he kindly autographed several LPs which are in like-new condition, since I only ever listened to audio cassette dubs (and subsequently CD dubs) of them.

They are "Star Trek: The Motion Picture", "Poltergeist" and "Twilight Zone: The Movie."

The online auction is happening now at https://www.32auctions.com/Arwen2022 and goes until Saturday December 10, I believe. You will see my three LPs listed on page 2 of All Items, unless the order changes!

I don't get a cent from this auction. Please bid generously! SAVE A YORKIE RESCUE is a non-profit, fully volunteer rescue for abandoned and abused Yorkshire Terriers in need of foster and medical care. Every dollar donated to our annual YORKIETHON event goes directly to the care of dogs who have lost everything - their family, their home, and even their very name. Donations are not used for administrative costs. SAVE A YORKIE RESCUE is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization so all donations are tax deductible! (I'm double checking whether that includes auction bids, or only donations)

Yes indeed. I guess he was used to it!

Missed out on all 5 of the items was going for, But this okay as I hope I bumped up the price to raise even more money for a good cause.

Thank you for posting this here as I would never have know about it & win or lose it was still nice to see & a bit of fun.

If you do another auction, please post again.

regards

Thanks for bidding in the auction! Adam and Joe hold their Yorkiethon fundraiser every December, including silent auction, so check back next year.

This is the third time I’ve donated items to the auction (I used to work at Lucasfilm so I had some Star Wars swag in previous years). But I don’t think I have anything left to donate. The only autographed LP I still have is “Wild Rovers.”

Goldsmith Signed LPs/CDs are quite rare. Unlike John Williams signed stuff which is available in abundance in contrast.

I was lucky to obtain signed Jerry Goldsmith STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE CD through a pvt. collector and he signed it tin just the same area of the artwork!
