Shawn Levy is directing, who used:

Christophe Beck for Big Fat Liar, Just Married, Cheaper By The Dozen, The Pink Panther, Date Night, The Internship, and Free Guy

Alan Silvestri for all 3 Night At The Museums

Danny Elfman for Real Steel

Michael Giacchino for This Is Where I Leave You

Rob Simonsen for The Adam Project

I’d like Beck. Love what he did for Ant-Man some of the unique and fun scores in the MCU.

I’d prefer Beck.

This movie already feels insufferable. I wonder how much money they dumped onto Hugh Jackman's front lawn?

I can't believe that no one has put John Scott's name forward yet.

I stand by my "insufferable" remark from only yesterday.

Barf. I don't know why fans of film music want ONE GUY to smear his musical feces over ever single franchise in existence when there are so many wonderful composers out there who could plausibly get the job, and might do something -- dare I say it -- interesting for a change.

I don't know why MG himself wants to take on franchise after franchise after franchise either. I understand that there's a paycheck involved, but how much pie can you eat, for christsakes??

For real. This place is exhausting at times.

I'd love it if someone unexpected was picked. James Newton Howard or Bruce Broughton would be nice, but I'm definitely not holding my breath.

I think you meant to write, "fans of the film music *I* prefer".

It's almost as if those who DON'T immediately say, "Jerry Goldstein!" or "Bernard Herrmann!" when asked their favorite composer are somehow not worthy of being called, "fans of film music". It's baffling. You don't like a composer, that's fine.. but sheesh.

You're waxing poetic about which wonderful composer gets to score the next DEADPOOL movie. Keep in mind the previous iterations were scored by JunkieXL and Brian Tyler (who I enjoy, but DP2's score fell pretty flat).

I guess this one just screams for a classic Horner theme. roll eyes

Tyler Bates scored Deadpool 2 not Brian Tyler.

Correct! Good catch. Explains why I didn't enjoy it.

I think Bates has some absolutely brilliant flashes, but overall his scores are pretty generic to me.

I don't even think there's standing room, what with Zimmer and all his clones in there.
