BEVERLY HILLS COP: AXEL FOLEY---Paul Reiser, John Ashton, Judge Reinhold and Bronson Pinchot are returning for the Netflix sequel.
BATMAN---Nicolas Cage said he wants to play villain Egghead, played by Vincent Price in the 1960s Adam West tv series, in a future Batman movie, “You know what I mean it’s like, Egghead is Vincent Price right? He’s one of our other great American superstar actors that I revere and had so much fun watching growing up. So I was watching the BATMAN show because I really wanted to see what Vincent Price was going to do. And the character’s hilarious. I mean, everything starts with ‘Egg-cellent.’ And it’s, ‘Egg-static.’
This is just more of a fun little thing. Cause I’m on a red carpet, somebody asks me a question, I want to give them a funny answer, but there is an approach to that character that could be terrifying. And I’ve thought a lot about it. I’m not going to share it with you.”
JAMES BOND---co-producer Barbara Broccoli commented on Idris Elba, 50, saying he is not interested in being the new James Bond, “We love Idris. The thing is, it’s going to be a couple of years off, and when we cast Bond, it’s a 10-12 year commitment. So he’s probably thinking, ‘Do I really want that thing?’ Not everybody wants to do that. It was hard enough getting [Daniel Craig to do it].” Daniel Craig was in his early 30s when he auditioned for CASINO ROYALE.

TRIVIA---in Nicholas Meyer's TIME AFTER TIME, David Warner played Jack the Ripper/surgeon Dr. John Stevenson. However, the movie's producers and Warner Bros. wanted Mick Jagger to play Jack the Ripper. Meyer said, “I met with him, but The Ripper is also a Harley Street surgeon, and I didn’t think Jagger would be persuasive as the Harley Street surgeon whereas David you completely buy.”

Yes, can't wait to see a bunch of old geezers reprising their roles from 40 years ago.

That would've been to on the nose. Warner was like the everyday man, any other normal guy, which made him more unnerving as the Ripper. In my opinion it remains Warner's best performance.
