Silva was a good friend of Frank Sinatra, and he appeared in the feature films "Ocean's 11", "Sargeants 3", "The Manchurian Candidate" and the television film "Contract On Cherry Street". He appeared in two episodes of "The Untouchables" as Little Charlie Sabastino ("The Noise Of Death" and "The Mark Of Cain"). However, he didn't always play a villain, such as the episode of "Thriller" titled "Dark Legacy", in which he played the friend of the possessed magician played by Harry Townes (which sported my favorite score of all the episodes scored by Jerry Goldsmith). R.I.P. Henry Silva.

I thought his character was named "Shovel Face" in Warren Beatty's DICK TRACY, but I was wrong. He played "Influence". I most remember him as a heavy from the RAT PACK movies with Frank, Sammy and Dean. A HATFUL OF RAIN comes to mind as well. Rest in Peace sir. 95 is a long life and a great accomplishment these days. God Bless.

Not henry! frown
Was decent in The bravados and Tall T.
Had a massive career in italy, mostly 70s cop thrillers but he was in hills run red, matchless, The boss, the italian connection, the Insolent, Milan Odia, kidnap, the manhunt, poliziotti violenza and Tough Cop among others.

He was also good in Love and Bullets and playing psychotic killer in Sharkey's machine.

I just saw Henry a few nights ago in the second season episode of the original HAWAII FIVE-O, “Savage Sunday”. What a coincidence.

Anyway, a fine Actor who will be missed.

RIP, Henry Silva.

Of which he starred in two episodes from the first season ("Tourist Attraction" in which he played the South American general Mercurio and "The Mice" in which he played convict Chino Rivera).

And don't forget "Johnny Cool", which was produced by Rat Pack member Peter Lawford, and starred fellow Rat Pack member Sammy Davis Jr. as "Educated".

Ya beat me to it, Bill!

Arch: "Sharky....I think I just ruined a good suit..."

He had some very memorable roles.

And his eyes, he looked like he could stare holes in you.

R.I.P.

Reading the comments here, I'm a little embarrassed to admit I only know Henry Silva from Amazon Women on the Moon. But what a great character he played! "Using undiscovered evidence, we have pieced together the identity of Jack the Ripper. Did I take this job for a quick buck?"

Looks like I'll need to culture myself this weekend with some classics which had slipped past me.

We may never know the answer to these questions.

It could be someone else but his face springs to mind. He was mock host and said it instead of - true or false, you decide.
