ROAD HOUSE---Jake Gyllenhaal will star in the remake of the 1989 Patrick Swayze movie which will be directed by Doug Liman. The remake will be set in the Florida Keys where an ex-UFC fighter takes a job as a bouncer in a rough roadside bar.
BLONDE---director Andrew Dominik denied rumors that Netflix was unhappy with a scene involving "bloody menstrual oral sex", and he commented on the movie's NC-17 rating for sex scenes including one involving sexual assault that was in the book, "It’s a demanding movie. If the audience doesn’t like it, that’s the f*cking audience’s problem. It’s not running for public office. It’s an NC-17 movie about Marilyn Monroe, it’s kind of what you want, right? I want to go and see the NC-17 version of the Marilyn Monroe story."
BATMAN---Michael Keaton said he has not seen a Marvel or DC superhero movie in its entirety, "I know people don't believe this, that I've never seen an entire version of any of those movies - any Marvel movie, any other. And I don't say that I don't watch that because I'm highbrow - trust me! It's not that. It's just that there's very little things I watch. I start watching something, and think it is great and I watch three episodes, but I have other sh*t to do!"
CINEMA PARADISO---Giuseppe Tornatore will write and direct a tv miniseries based on his classic 1988 movie.
DOCTOR WHO---Ncuti Gatwa will not only be the first black Doctor Who, but also the first gay Doctor Who according to Neil Patrick Harris, "I got to meet and interact with him a bit and he’s glorious. He’ll be the first gay Doctor, which is going to be super cool, a sexier Doctor."
AS WE KNOW IT---Pam Grier, Chris Parnell and Oliver Cooper will star in this zombie apocalypse movie.
THE FIRST LADY---Showtime cancelled the series.
TRIVIA---Ed O'Neill achieved stardom as henpecked, hapless women's shoe salesman Al Bundy in MARRIED...WITH CHILDREN. When O'Neill was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was appropriately in front of a DSW shoe store on Hollywood Boulevard.

I thought a Road House remake was already in production (and that rumor was years ago) with Rhonda Rousey (boy, did she fall off the planet).
Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead....? Hmmmm.....Maybe Gyllenhaal plays the Sam Elliott role?
