WRONG PLACE---trailer released for the action movie starring Bruce Willis and Ashley Greene.

FURIOSA---synopsis released for the prequel starring Anya Taylor-Joy., “As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”

STRANGER THINGS---poster released for Season 4, Volume 2.
Also, Matt Duffer confirmed a spinoff series is underway, “The reason we haven’t done anything is just because you don’t want to be doing it for the wrong reasons, and it was just like, ‘Is this something I would want to make regardless of it being related to STRANGER THINGS or not?’ And definitely. Even if we took the STRANGER THINGS title off of it, I’m so, so excited about it. But it is not… It’s going to be different than what anyone is expecting, including Netflix.”

TOP GUN: MAVERICK---the sequel reached the global $1 billion mark which makes it Tom Cruise's biggest movie ever.

THE BLACK HOLE---director Joseph Kosinski (TOP GUN: MAVERICK) said his planned remake of the 1979 Walt Disney sci fi movie was cancelled because it was too similar to Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR, “I still feel like that movie is one of the most unique that Disney’s ever made, the original, I mean. It’s wild. The idea of a journey to a black hole is still one of those things that is very intriguing because it’s not science fiction. They really exist, and all the effects that happen around them are real physics. So there is a great story to be told about that journey. I just, at this point, I haven’t figured out what that would be for me yet.”
Writer Jon Spaihts said about his remake script, “I loved that script. It sits uneasily in Disney’s world as a dark epic, and Disney is in a very colorful place. It was very faithful to the original but clever in all the ways in that first film was silly, I hope.”

DEADPOOL 3---co-writer Rhettt Reese commented on the sequel, “[It’s] a wonderful opportunity for fish-out-of-water [comedy]. Deadpool is a lunatic at the center of a movie… To drop a lunatic into a very sane world, it’s straight butter. It’s going to be really fun.
We’re absolutely finding the serendipity and the gold in that situation, or we’re trying to … Deadpool is gonna be Deadpool. Now when it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line, maybe we’ll hear at some point, ‘Maybe not that joke.’ But I think they [Disney] have been incredibly supportive of what we’re doing.”

BETTER CALL SAUL---Carol Burnett will have a cameo as Marion in Season 6, the last season, “I’m thrilled to be a part of my favorite show.” Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are returning for Season 6.

MORTAL KOMBAT---writer Jeremy Slater commented on the sequel, “The MORTAL KOMBAT sequel is awesome. I’m having a ton of fun. I can’t really share any details about it, but we want to make something that the fans really love and I think it’s a really great creative te
They have been listening to the fan reactions and they know what fans loved about the first movie and what they didn’t. Everyone is creatively setting out to really make a sequel that tops the original in every way. We’re still very early in the process, but the fans should be really excited. It’s going to be awesome.”

WOKE---Hulu cancelled the series.

TRIVIA---more James Bond movie trivia.
In GOLDFINGER, James Bond goes for more Dom Perignon and tells Jill Masterson,“My dear girl, there are some things that just aren’t done, such as drinking Dom Perignon ‘53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s just as bad as listening to the Beatles without earmuffs!”
In 1973, former Beatle Paul McCartney and his wife, Linda, co-wrote "Live and Let Die" for Roger Moore's first James Bond movie. It was a #1 hit in the US and was the first James Bond song nominated for an Academy Award, and it was also nominated for a Grammy.

I've always loved this particular picture and for all its faults, the movie is still a fond favorite mine and the opening title cue is one of Barry's best IMHO.

Same. One of Barry's finest, in his big epic lonely mode.

Gonna be Thet Guy and remind you that Live and Let Die was Roger Moore's first outing as Bond.

The Cygnus was a truly beautiful design and one of the most distinct ships in all of sci-fii movies.

Yes, that picture is stunning even today. Love the design of the ship too.
