That's something I didn't expect from Neely... and I love it. He seems to have fun scoring Shows without Superheroes. His "Flight Attendant" score was also very refreshing and interesting imo and this main theme here is just beautiful. I hope the score does hold up to that. The 6 Episode long Show is currently airing on HBO max so the wait for a OST release shouldn't be more than a month from now.
It's really nice. There was a while where I was into his WB DC scores. This is an impressively different score but still just as melodic and intentional.
This sounded quite nice! Hope he's "back" with his A-game again. Been quite lackluster the score from him the recent years, imo. But i guess he's just as sick of the DC shows as we are, lol! And maybe the other composers do most of the work on those shows now. I havent heard his work for All American though.
Lets just hope they'll give the score a proper release and not that silly "max 15 tracks" formula.
So looks like Water Tower has decided to butcher ALL of Blake Neely's releases by forcing him to only make 15-16 tracks available...I give up on this composer, cause these albums are unlistenable.
Will he ever get to release a "normal" album ever again?

I started really enjoying the editing of his stuff and since it's digital only, we're not forced to listen it in original form. For me it's only Legends of Tomorrow wich doesn't work. All other Arrowverse scores kinda work for me (but of course not as good as previous ones). You and Riverdale work fine because there isn't much distinct stuff and Flight Attendant is only percussion... seriously where the hell does a cue start and end on both albums...

Of course not. But it's at least 85 minutes long...
The suites seem to be ok (compared to arrowverse) most of the time. I'm sure that this is a awesome 70 minute album after a bit of whittling and shuffling.

These moments are great, just such a shame they are burried and hidden inside these long suites. (yes, I know I should just be grateful the score gets released at all, but come on! lol! )
A bit more positivity please In terms of suites, this may be Neely's best effort in his entire 15 track run. Some suites even feel like one long continuing track, they do what a suite is supposed to do and I really like suites if they are done properly. "You Can’t Change What Happens", "Hold On" & "You'll Be Only Wrong Once / Mercy" for example. Other suites need only very little work in order to have a nice flow. After only 1 hour of whittling (quite fast, I need like 3-4 for the arrowverse ones) I ended up with 74 minutes and 18 tracks of awesome music.
