Just listened to random selections from my Vangelis CD collection (30+ hrs-worth) over the last two days while at work.
Not for any anniversary reasons, though; he's just a composer of which I have many MP3s, so that results a lot of great and varied listening material over his long career.
Today is Wendy Carlos (14+ hrs-worth, abridged). Vince Guaraldi is waiting in the on-deck circle...
I've been listening to Blade Runner and his Direct album today. He was in a league all his own, the word 'genius' is thrown around too easily these days, but he really was a genius. Can't believe he's no longer with us.
