Music On Vinyl is releasing the expanded score to Hook on vinyl. Limited to 2000 copies. Don’t know why Mondo couldn’t release the same program. Looks like I’ll be double dipping.

This is the expanded program Didier Deutsch produced for LLL a decade ago, but with the OST album's cover art.

The content is 100% identical to the 2012 LLL 2-CD set, but 5 tracks have different names now.

Mondo's release is actually a brand new rebuild of the original OST program, made from scratch by Mike Matessino from the original raw takes, remastered by him, and contains new liner notes from John Takis and new artwork by Devin Elle Kurtz

Didn’t know the Mondo release was a full rebuild. Glad to own both then.

The Mondo vinyl is the only release of this score to ever contain the trailer music ("Prologue") played at the correct speed.

It also contains music Didier did not include in the 2012 LLL program.

Will there be a CD? Perspiring minds want to know.

My least favorite Spielberg film, and, subsequently, a score I don't appreciate as much as I might.

Agree about the film, but the score is a treasure.

This program was released on CD by La-La Land Records on March 27 2012, and it was in print until the summer of 2014 when they finished selling all 5,000 copies they had allotted for it

Oh.

Well, it would be great if Sony Music replaced the version of the OST album they have on streaming / digital platforms with Mike's new rebuild now, instead of sticking with the old 1991 digital master, but I don't think I've ever seen them do that before.

Recently, WMG did release MM and NB's rebuild of the TWOK OST on digital platforms, but for the most part it seems like these rebuilt OST programs that debut on a specialty label expansion end up locked there even though the original music label has the rights to issue them themselves.

Digital platforms aside, I really don't see Sony Music reissuing the OST program to physical CD, that format is practically dead for such things.

Can I get an exact date they stopped selling it please?

You're asking when in 2014 the LLL 2-CD Hook went OOP?

I have no idea, some time in July/August-ish?

My guess is yes. Proving once again that no cd=sale for a lot of people.
