Yes, it is quite sure. He was my uncle, married to my mother's elder sister. He died last Saturday 8 January in the early hours of the morning, at the hospital in Orsay, France.
There will be a ceremony to commemorate his life on Friday 28 January 2022 at 2:30 pm at the Crematorium in Avrainville, France.

Condolences, then, for your loss. I hope it helps a little that your uncle is well-regarded on this forum.

Thanks ! We were not close but he was a fine man. He was the first one who showed me a cd in the 80s. I was a teenager, had heard about them but had never actually seen one !
Loved his music and songs for the original 1965 Broadway production of Peter Shaffer’s THE ROYAL HUNT OF THE SUN, which was actually released on an lp, along with his stage scores for the British productions ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD and AS YOU LIKE IT. He also wrote the score for the film version of ROYAL HUNT, but there has been no known commercial release.
