The film, 'Pride', was one I'd seen when it was first released several years ago on some viewing channel, probably Netflix. I enjoyed it but it seemed to disappear rather quickly. It is currently offered on Amazon Prime and I re-visited the film and somehow, the film seems to have aged well and has really grown on me since then. The gest of the film is essentially a true one, how a group of Gays and Lesbians in 1984 London began a group to support the striking Miners in Wales, the town of Onllwyn, Wales to be exact. What was on the surface could have been a film loaded with cliches, turned out to be a disarming film with it's open-heartedness. Well written and with a superb cast which included Imelda Staunton, Bill Nighy, Andrew Scott, (so good as Moriarty in 'Sherlock'), and young George MacKay who would go on to star in Sam Mendes film, '1917'. If you haven't seen 'Pride' and have Amazon Prime, you may want to give the film a view. Or even, a re-viewing.

Yes, that's it. Lovely little gem. And always moving to learn about one of the key characters surviving until today.

Yes, Thank You MSMITH for posting this trailer, which I had never seen before. The trailer's an excellent representation of the entire film, which was a crowd-pleaser.

He's back?? Everyone's favorite board member, is back!

So is Mark Ford. It's like it's 1980 again, and we're seeing Kim Novak and Elizabeth Taylor in THE MIRROR CRACK'D. smile
