Like the Picard LP it was labelled Volume 1 - so I expect another volume to be announced in due time.

Great music throughout the season and especially in these 2 finale episodes. Granted, I prefer original scoring choices over the overt Horner/TREK II homage during the "nebula battle" sequence, but it's all fine and even beyond that, the action scoring was dynamic and memorable. Plus, I love that surprise end credits cue in place of the main theme!

I'm hoping for the night club version of the Motion Picture theme.

A really well scored show.

When the digital album went on sale, I only bought the theme song. I'd seen the first two seasons of Lower Decks, and the humor didn't really click with me. I'm happy to say I'm glad I stuck with the show, because the end of S3 looked like the device of these leads always making excuses for their inept decisions might be going away. And indeed, S4 was much less of that and more appealing character growth. I loved this season!

But I never really noticed any of the underscore until this season, especially during the $4 finale. On a whim, I started playing Westlake's score on Spotify…and was profoundly blown away by how great his Lower Decks score is! I immediately bought the rest of the digital score and have continued to play it on repeat as I work at my computer. I'm late to the appreciation party, but I'm finally glad I made it. Lakeshore had got to be planning a second volume by now. It will be a Day One purchase for me when they do. (Damn I wish they'd press CDs tho'.)
