So many beautiful scores for Disney rides and attractions, but also for rides and attractions in other parks, such as his great score for the Flying Dreams-ride at Portaventura Theme Park in Spain. Disneyland Paris for the first time released a vinyl last year that contained part of his score for Timekeeper, and Tokyo Disneyland released his music for Fantastic Flight on CD last year as well, but it would be great to have a collection of all this great music in one place, together with the many, many unreleased tracks of his music for the Disney Theme Parks.
I could have written this post... in total agreement. By the way, is there anywhere to hear his score for "Flying Dreams"? I'm not aware of it being released/available in any form.
I hope Roger hasn't given up. The Intrada set would be the release of the century, as far as I'm concerned.
Flying Dreams was never released in any kind of form. The main theme reminds me of his music for Young Sherlock Holmes a bit. He did the cue music, ride music and post show-music, about 20 minutes all together. You can listen to a recording of the ride music here:
Silverado and Tombstone do not share the same director. Silverado was directed by Lawrence Kasdan. (Wyatt Earp). Others can state who directed Tombstone as it is a matter of much discussion.
I must have phrased things confusingly. I was saying Tombstone had the same director as Shadow Conspiracy: George P. Cosmatos.
Yavar
By the way, I guess I never heard a bad score in any George Pan Cosmatos movie....a bit like in Peter Hyams filmography.
Jerry Goldsmith, Bruce Broughton, Lalo Schifrin, John Debney,....have been favorites of Cosmatos or Hyams....at some point.
some of you on this board, especially dr. nigel channing here, knows i could go on for days about bruce broughtons disney park music and the "on-hold" park music release of all his music. but i for one would still love official releases for his music from krippendorfs tribe, house arrest and warm springs. to name a few...
