Time for a new thread. Cody, Yavar, anybody else, don't take what you are doing in the other thread, into this one.

When clues are available, somebody can post them if I don't.

So, let the flailing begin anew!

Now if only there were some clues maybe there'd be a reason for this new thread.

Be polite and don't do that.

Blue! Complete!

Hi Advise! Actually I would love Conti's THE BIG BLUE. There are a lot of unofficial versions out there and I would love the real thing.

Good choice! I was aiming for Leviathan, but this would do very nicely. smile

And just like that, clues are here! (I think it's pretty clear what the first one is.)

The first one is so obviously "The Matrix".

The second doesn't imply a "Hollow Man" at all to me. It indicates a puzzle that is incomplete, not a hollow or invisible man. But the Goldsmith Releases Train has been chugging along, so who knows...

The Matrix and... Paycheck ? The puzzle thing reminds me of the film's poster.

What could possibly be made to further Deluxe the Deluxed previous version from the very Varese Club?

Is this the Don Davis’s equivalent to Goldsmith’s The Blue Max?

Hasn’t THE MATRIX already been done?

It's just a popular title that wasn't completed with the last deluxe version.

Sneakers and Brainstorm.

Oooh, that’s a fine guess! ;-)

Hasn’t THE MATRIX already been done?

So had The Omen as a Deluxe Edition, but it wasn't done complete. And The Omen was only missing about 6 minutes of music on the old Deluxe which were rectified with the 40th Anniversary Edition. The Matrix is missing a LOT more music, which is why so many were unsatisfied with the Deluxe.

What could possibly be made to further Deluxe the Deluxed previous version from the very Varese Club?

The entire rest of the score which didn't fit on a single disc? The other two Matrix scores got two disc complete editions...why shouldn't the original (and arguably best) get the same treatment?

Is this the Don Davis’s equivalent to Goldsmith’s The Blue Max?

No, unless the thing in common is "should be always kept in print".

The Matrix had an original album released in 1999 running under half an hour.

Then a Deluxe Edition in 2008, almost a decade later, running 77 minutes simply because that's what would fit on a single disc... and it's been OOP for a while.

I'd say it's time for a new definitive edition bringing the first score in line with the treatment LLL gave the sequel scores. And with the new film being produced Varese's timing couldn't be much better. Also, they'd be crazy to release the score complete only on LP for Record Store Day:

Seriously, people here would riot. big grin

The only thing I should point out is:

Remember when Varese dropped How to Train Your Dragon - Omni released the score to match the CD contents.

Would they do something similar with Sneakers?

Also what if the left was Sneakers, and the right image represented the Matrix?
