did the OST had a unique track compared to the deluxe edition?
The Virus
Anyways it seems Varese has less focus on filmmusic since Townson left - Allthough Townsown also did not seem to care a lot for the releases (Gremlins 2 having a lot of cross-mixed tracks which was really anoying - and scores releases as DELUXE EDITIONS but not being complete (Commando, Burbs, Total Rekall, Stargate). It sucks.
I don't own any version of The Matrix soundtrack. Is this CD/album the best version to get? Is there any chance Varese will go back to press on the CD for this?
Also, I'm wondering why Varese did the first movie, but La La Land did Reloaded and Revolutions. Any particular reason?

Warner Bros released the song-soundtrack to the Matrix and the soundtracks to the sequels. Varese took the rights to the Matrix score album which allowed them to go back and expand it. La La Land was able to license and expand the Warner releases of the sequels.
This showed up on Amazon for $37.99. I ordered one today and the seller has 2 copies left. Seller has limited feedback and less than 50 items, but half of them are film and TV scores, so I figured it was worth a shot to see if it's truly the Varese Complete CD he has rather than a mistake in the listing.

And I can't find the 50 items you've mentioned. I've always had an issue with that site where if you try to look into the seller's other products you can't see them. That being said, I also bought the Matrix release from that seller and contacted the seller to see if this is the real deal.

I got it today. Definitely looks legit, without opening it yet. Was wrapped in bubble wrap and put it in a yellow envelope, and doesn't seem to have been damaged in shipping. There seems to be a small smudge defect on the jewel case under the plastic, so I don't know if that had something to do with these being unsold leftovers or something.
It is possible to view a seller's other items on Amazon. Just click on their store's name and at the top of the screen is a link saying "Visit the 24-7 Merchants storefront." The search box doesn't seem to work, but you can just page through their inventory. This is their storefront link: https://www.amazon.com/s?me=A19MKEDFI1WLU8&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER
